

If you’ve ever driven to Kenting and saw an old city wall just past the airport and thought it weird that a walled city existed here, you’d be correct. It is not, in fact, an old city wall.
This wall was built in the early 1960s by the marine corps. In the 1950s and 60s, there was still a desire to “Reclaim the Mainland 反攻大陸 ” so a city wall was built for the soldiers to practice on.




There are also some tunnels around the wall. I haven’t entered them since I am always down in this area alone. but you can check them out here.
